At the time built for the aristocracy, the Place Vendôme is nowadays hosting the most famous jewellery Maisons, and is considered one of the most beautiful and luxurious in the world.

Commissioned by Louis XIV to Jules Hardouin-Mansart, it is dominated in its center by the Colonne Vendôme, erected in 1810, destroyed during the Commune de Paris, then rebuilt.

During this fascinating guided tour mixing art, history, architecture and haute joaillerie, you will discover the history both bright and dark of this place.

We will also evoque the story of some of its famous Maisons, from Van Cleef & Arpels to Cartier, and of course the Ritz Hotel, the very first palace to be open in Paris.
